On the subject of must win! Villa 2-0 up at Burnley puts us in the bottom 3! Must have a response to the reality of our predicament!

Come on Moyesey get this bunch fired up!

It'll be interesting who he has on the bench too.
If there is no Zab,Roberto,Sanchez or Ajeti then we know they are no longer in his plans.
Would much appreciate all 4 not being anywhere near , with some youngsters waiting to push into the starting 11 but you know the same old shit will be there expecting a different result.

Re: Team v Bournemouth
seems unfair to drop a "must win" in his lap three days after taking the job, but it's a 100% nailed on must win.

bournemouth are shocking, they're demonlished by injuries and a fair bit worse than us as is and that's saying something. they were embarrassingly shit at the weekend and aside from a trip to 3 point bridge they've been in freefall.

i'd have actually backed pellegrini to win it (think even avram would've managed it). it's the perfect fixture to get people on side, but also a nightmare if he can't get a result considering the run we've got coming up. a draw is no good either.

i have no faith in moyes long term but reckon he'll get a result.

Re: Team v Bournemouth
Probably, but I don't think he has the balls not to play 40m worth of player. Plus he'll want some pace on the pitch to try and pinch one goal before parking the bus with his negative five at the fucking back SHIT.

Don't you think Anderson is a bit too attacking ..In that line up.

He will play fornals

Re: Team v Bournemouth
Five at the back and two up top would leave a gaping hole in midfield, bearing in mind our midfield is routinely overrun playing four or five in there, three seems fucking suicidal.

I expect the ginger cunt will play something like:

-----------------------Fabs
--------Balbuena--Diop-Ogbonna
Fredericks------------------------Cresswell

Antonio----Rice-------Noble------Anderson

------------------------Haller

It will be shit and negative because five at the back is fucking shit and fucking negative. The mark of a desperate man, which Moyes almost definitely is.

Re: Team v Bournemouth
Yep, reckon The Exile has nailed it.

I'm not generally a fan of two strikers straight down the middle these days but, as many people have pointed out, there is little doubt that Haller plays better under that system. He and Antonio actually looked like a forward pairing against Southampton.

Fuck knows what he'll do but I like the exile's team the most.

Stubbo 8:56.diop in midfield for pace and physicality. Haven't you been watching diop is a sneeze floats like a butterfly and stings like a.butterfly he would even get bullied by a striker if he played for west ham ladies.embarrassment of a centre half.

Re: Team v Bournemouth
It would also be good if Moyes could wake Yarmolenko up - he looked so good at the beginning of the season but is almost like the forgotten man now. He should be pushing Anderson for his place.

Re: Team v Bournemouth
The Cresswell/Masuaku choice is going to be interesting. Cresswell has been the better of the two this season but Masuaku is better as a wing-back and offers more going forward.

Re: Team v Bournemouth
We need to be better in the air at centre back beyond Ogbonna, hopefully Diop hits the gym and becomes the player he can be.

That said, the three at back can work with either Cresswell or Masuaku on the wings with Fredericks.

Rice

Antonio / Lanzini or Fornals / Anderson

Haller

Re: Team v Bournemouth
Goose - totally agree. Cresswell is a left back or left wing-back. A decent one, when he's on his game, too (as he was before he left the pitch against Arsenal).

No pointy mucking around with him at centre half. He nails down the left back spot in this current squad. Why move him?

Re: Team v Bournemouth
Goose, its the West Ham to play players out of position. We’ve got so used to it that the supports promote it like it’s normal and logical.

Re: Team v Bournemouth
i'm not sure why so many are desperate to see Cresswell play centre back when we have 3 decent centre backs already.

We will be shop windowing players so expect minutes for:

Reid
Roberto
Ogbonna
Masuaku
Fredericks
Diop
Balbuena
Sanchez
Snodgrass
Cresswell

I expect we would accept offers for any of them and the board probably hope for a big offer for Diop
